How to get from Istanbul to Cappadocia by Plane?
Pegasus Airlines and Turkish Airlines fly from Istanbul to Cappadocia. Those two major airline companies have a flight almost every day.
The flight prices are way cheaper than you would think! Around the summer season, a flight from Istanbul to Cappadocia is about 200 – 400 Turkish lira. And, around the winter season, it is about 150 – 250 Turkish lira.
The point you should always be careful about is getting your flight from/to right Airport. There are 2 airports in Istanbul; Istanbul New Airport(IST) and Sabiha Gökcen Airport (SAW). And, there are 2 airports in Cappadocia; Kayseri Erkilet Airport (ASR) and Nevsehir Airport (NAV).
Note that while surfing on the internet, you can come across some information about Istanbul Atatürk Airport. Be aware that this airport is closed, moved to a new location and renamed as Istanbul New Airport!
How to get from Istanbul to Cappadocia by Bus?
Picking a night bus from Istanbul to Cappadocia is probably the cheapest option! The distance between Istanbul to Cappadocia is about 750 km, and the travel time is about 12-13 hours. The most used bus companies are; Metro Turizm, Nevsehir Seyahat, and Kamilkoc Turizm.
The average price of a one-way bus is about 150 to 200 Turkish lira per person. If you are not used to having long bus journeys, this option is not recommended for you.
How to get from Istanbul to Cappadocia by Train?
There is no direct train from Istanbul to Cappadocia, Turkey! However, you can take a train from Istanbul to Konya city and then a bus from Konya to Cappadocia. The train would cost you about 85 – 100 Turkish lira and the bus would cost you about 110 – 150 Turkish lira. This option would be quite complicated if you are not well-planned!
How to get from Istanbul to Cappadocia by picking a travel package?
