Above all, your safety is our first priority. Heavy rain or snow is rare in most of the regions we visit, so our tours run in normal rain and wind, with the program adapted where needed. Only the Cappadocia balloon flights are cancelled by the Civil Aviation Authority when the weather is not safe; in that case you get a full refund for the flight.
For Hot Air Balloon Tours in Cappadocia, according to the policy of Turkish Civil Aviation, the tours can not be operated in bad weather conditions due to the safety reasons of all travelers. If you are the one whose Hot Air Balloon Tour is canceled due to the bad weather condition, you will have a full refund of the amount you paid for Balloon activity.
Please book in advance. Turkey is one of the top destinations in the world and hotels, domestic flights and balloon flights fill up quickly, especially from May to September. Because of Turkey’s geographical conditions, we can not speak about a general overall climate. In Istanbul and around the Marmara Region, the climate is moderate. During the winter, 4 degrees Celsius and summer 27 degrees Celsius (39 and 80 degrees Fahrenheit). In Western Turkey, there is a mild Mediterranean climate with average temperatures of 9°C in winter and 29°C (48-84°F) in summer. On the southern coast, the same climate can be seen. The climate of the Middle Anatolia Plateau is a steppe climate (there is a great temperature difference between day and night). Rainfall is low and there is more snow. The average temperature is 23 ° C (73°F) in summer and -2 (28°F) in winter. The climate in the Black Sea area is wet during the winter, warm and humid during the summer. In Eastern Anatolia and South-Eastern Anatolia, there is a long cold winter. Where the summers are dry and hot.
Turkey is a year-round destination depending on your wishes. Although the tourist “high season” (with associated higher rates) is from May through September, Spring and Autumn are the best seasons to travel to Turkey.
