The Association of Turkish Travel Agencies—commonly known by its acronym TÜRSAB—was founded on September 28, 1972, under Law No. 1618 and operates under the authority of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. TÜRSAB serves as the main regulatory and supervisory body for all legally established travel agencies in Turkey.
TÜRSAB’s primary mission is to support and advance the Turkish tourism industry, which forms the foundation of the travel agency profession. By overseeing standards and ensuring professional conduct, TÜRSAB helps maintain a high level of service quality among travel agencies throughout the country.
In addition to its regulatory role, TÜRSAB also contributes to tourism education. It has established a vocational tourism high school, helping train qualified tourism professionals and strengthening the sector with well-prepared future experts.
FINDING A TRAVEL AGENCY IN TURKEY!

3 GRADES FOR TRAVEL AGENCIES!
In Turkey, travel agencies are classified into three grades based on the range of services they are authorized to provide:
Grade A Travel Agencies: These agencies have the most comprehensive authorization. They can offer and manage all services specified in Article 1 of Law No. 1618, including organizing and selling a full range of domestic and international tourism services. Grade A agencies are capable of coordinating complete travel packages, tours, and other tourist activities.
Grade B Travel Agencies: These agencies primarily sell tickets for international land, sea, and air transportation. They are also permitted to sell tours organized by Grade A agencies, acting as intermediaries between travelers and full-service operators.
Grade C Travel Agencies: Focused on the domestic market, Grade C agencies organize and sell tours for Turkish citizens within Turkey, providing a more localized tourism experience.
This grading system ensures service quality, regulatory compliance, and professional standards across the travel industry in Turkey, helping travelers enjoy safe and reliable tourism experiences.
