The hardest way to go to Cappadocia is by train journey! But, if you are keen to pick it, here is the information on how to do it. Since there is no direct train from Istanbul to Cappadocia, first you should take a bus to Istanbul-Gebze train station.
Then, take a train from Gebze to Konya City which is roughly 3 hours and cost you about 85 – 100 lira. Then, you should find your way to Konya Bus Station and take a bus from Konya to Cappadocia. This will last about 3 hours and cost you 110 – 150 lira per person. You may check Metro Turizm as your bus company.
Once you arrived in Kayseri or Nevsehir Bus station, you should find a shuttle service to your Hotel. Remember! Shuttle services run very rarely.
What about returning from Cappadocia to Istanbul?
